  • Our goal is to provide the public with all the information, data, and analyses that help them, as active members of society, to fully engage in discussions about authority and societal issues. While our natural instinct as journalists is to share what we know, this instinct must be tempered by the requirements of accuracy and fairness.
  • The platform strives to present facts unaffected by any agenda or bias. Our team and journalists set aside their personal opinions when working, upholding the principles of objectivity and integrity.
  • We do not engage in campaigns or sign online petitions.
  • We may participate in the political process as voters, since we have responsibilities as individuals. However, at Beam Reports, we keep our votes to ourselves as a matter of principle. Our goal is to be transparent in all our work.
  • Beam Reports is committed to the complete editorial independence of its journalists and staff, including the editorial independence from the platform’s founding members and/or its board of directors.
  • Beam Reports adheres to the journalistic values of fairness, accuracy, objectivity, honesty, neutrality, and independence. These are prerequisites for publishing any story.

  • Beam Reports journalists and employees must disclose their real identities while performing their duties.
  • Copyright for materials obtained by Beam Reports journalists and employees may not be transferred to other media outlets.
  • Our mission at Beam Reports is to follow a professional media policy of disseminating and analyzing information without any specific ideological, political, religious, or ethnic agenda.

  • Error Correction Policy: At (Marsad Beam), we follow a correction policy in which the platform acknowledges errors, issues subsequent corrections, and apologizes for any incorrect information it may have published.
  • Funding: The platform is primarily independently funded, with some grants from NGOs to implement projects that support our vision and mission. We have no commercial, financial, or institutional ties to the state or political parties in Sudan or elsewhere.
